Buchanan & Hall was awarded the TOP SALES OF 2009 at the 2010 WaterFurnace dealer meeting. This was presented by Eden Energy Equipment, the Ontario distributer of WaterFurnace products.

Effective today, the Government of Canada's ecoENERGY Retrofit program is no longer accepting bookings for pre-retrofit evaluations. If you have already booked an appointment for a pre-retrofit evaluation, have completed an evaluation or applied for re-entry to the program, you remain eligible to apply for a grant. The program will continue to be administered until March 31, 2011. The Government of Canada will continue to process applications for the Ontario Home Energy Savings program that is already in place. This still allows home owners to recieve up to $4375 for a full geothermal furnace installation. For more information please see the NRCan website.

Buchanan & Hall has recently purchased a Vermeer horizontal directional drill (HDD) to further our capabilities in doing geothermal ground loops. Over the past few months we’ve been doing training and test bores with Vermeer and other contractors. This will allow us to install a ground loop at a depth of around 7 to 12 feet, without disturbing the majority of the surface. Usually all we need to excavate is a 20’ x 5’ area in order to fuse our fittings together in the ground. More information will be posted on our web site as this technology is developed.
